Covid, 9/11 and war as peace
It started with 9/11 and the “War on Terror,” then came the “War on Covid” and now there is “War on Russia.” War as a permanent social condition. The goal is not to win it, but to keep it going forever.
From time to time it is worth reading the section “War is Peace” (Chapter 9) in George Orwell's classic 1984. It describes very precisely how a state superpower needs war to stabilize and expand rule and control. The war has changed its nature in this reality. It's no longer about victory - anyway, the enemy's downfall would also mean your own downfall - it's about the fact that it is a permanent situation. War thus becomes a purely domestic matter; it becomes an exclusive instrument of rule. It's no longer about victory or defeat.
Permanent war as eternal peace
In this way, war becomes peace because war stabilizes the social system, power and rule. Orwell says at the end of this section:
“For in this case each superstate would be a self-contained world, forever freed from the inhibiting influence of an external threat, while the ruling forces of the blocs would at the same time dominate the peoples of the earth together. A truly lasting peace would be the same as permanent war. This is – even if the vast majority of party members only understand it in a shallower sense – the deeper meaning of the party slogan: war means peace.”
In the current essay “ Covid, 9/11 and permanent war ,” Kit Knightley recognizes frightening parallels, first between 9/11 and Covid, but then also between Orwell’s fictional world and reality.
They (Covid and 9/11, more specifically the political response) arise from the same collective urge that all rulers and governments have and are used for the same purpose.
They are different instruments that serve to achieve the same goal. Different approaches to the same problem. Different Evolutionary Stages of the Same Animal: The Decades of Change in the Core Goals of Warfare and Even the Meaning of “War” Itself.
War has always been essential for the preservation of the state. Wars make those in power rich and people afraid. They unite nations behind their leaders and distract from domestic political problems.
But the more powerful nations become, the more advanced weapons technology becomes, and the more global power becomes concentrated in giant corporations rather than nations, the more expensive, dangerous, and largely meaningless war in the traditional sense becomes.
Essentially, the old-fashioned reasons for waging war are no longer present, but the domestic side effects of war-like policies remain. While the state and the companies that support it no longer need to engage in battles for the best farmland, they must make their subjects feel like they are under attack.
In short, “war” has inevitably gradually transformed from genuine interstate conflict over control of resources to a top-down tool of psychological manipulation.
Knightley analyzes the structure of the events of 9/11 and Covid. Recognizes clear connections at a “meta level” without assuming that both events are part of a “grand plan”: “They are different instruments intended to achieve the same goal. Different approaches to the same problem. Different Evolutionary Stages of the Same Animal: The Decades of Change in the Core Goals of Warfare and Even in the Meaning of “War” Itself.”
But both events constituted crucial moments in the transformation of the war:
One flows directly into the other. They form a continuum of control narratives designed to frighten people into accepting draconian restrictions on their freedom, while justifying a permanent society-wide belligerent mentality.
The “War on Terror” and the “War on Covid” are two psy-ops that show the transformation of the “war” from a foreign policy to a purely domestic policy.
In 1984 this development was presented extremely clearly:
“The war is now, as will be seen, a purely domestic matter. In the past, even if groups or nations recognized their common interest and therefore wanted to limit the destructive effects of war, they still fought one against another, and the victor always pillaged the vanquished. Nowadays they don't fight each other at all. The war is waged by each ruling group against its own supporters, and the aim of the war is not to make or prevent territorial conquests, but to continue to control the masses they rule.”
The war against the virus in particular has made this clearer than anything before. The “war against climate change” is in the starting blocks. And the war against Russia is also heading (or is it already?) towards a certain stalemate. An eternal war could not be ruled out - as is well known, the West continues to do business with Russia:
Global capitalist hegemony no longer needs to conquer land or steal resources. They already have everything worth owning, all they need now is control over their workers and preserving the inequality they have created.
This is the real war being waged here. Not the ridiculous war on terror. And neither is the ridiculous war against Covid. No, the true “eternal war” is what Niels Harrit calls the vertical war, waged by those at the top against everyone below them.
Covid is the latest and most open expression of this, but for years the corporate media has been the mouthpiece of the authoritarian heart of the state.
[…]We are told that our caring masters are controlling or dictatorial not because they want to be, but because they must be for our sake.
[…]Global hegemony is achieved not through traditional warfare or imperial conquest, but through a conglomerate of restrictions on individual freedom.
This is the war that connects 9/11 and Covid. The real war is not against drugs, terrorism or even Covid, but against us.

PS: – since “1998” the WORLD elites have become (of course only partially) aware of the above-mentioned “SHOCK event”!?! – so the motto prevails: – > WE save ourselves as GOOD as we can < !!??!! – take a closer look at EVERYTHING from this perspective!?! :-)
The war against CO² is missing
You can sum it up under pressure to consume.
The rule of law has built in means that do not allow draconian measures in response to mass fear. Justice just doesn't want to remember!
How nice for many that humanity's mothballs are so large that logical connections are made to even the most absurd real stories that are currently taking place!
Konrad Lorenz comes to mind again with his book “The Back of the Mirror” and fulguration!
He is understood by almost everyone - recent conversations have confirmed this again - as a Nobel Prize winner for behavioral research, especially with the greylag geese, which explains human behavior from the “other” animal kingdom! What an illusion!
Bringing examples and creating images is the other side! The one that was his was to show that it is fundamentally impossible to draw conclusions from a complex organizational form to the subsequent “superimposed” structures, ways of acting, cultures, living environments! Lorenz's expression for this was fulguration. Fulgus - The Flash - term for the sudden emergence of new properties in a newer complex system! the perspectives, the investigations should begin again!
And even if human consciousness cannot exist in the form of a zeitgeist, it nevertheless frees us from the inevitable determination that is cited again and again and more and more often - perhaps because more and more people are coming to a certain degree of enlightenment, to a general knowledge behavior!
There are more degrees of freedom than many people are capable of “imposing themselves” on!
The story doesn't have to be thought through from the end.
The spark does not have to be divine, but it does exist. If you allow it and recognize when it ignites. But it certainly doesn't explode in the form of an atomic bomb, even if it seems that the majority of those who are even inclined to think about end-time scenarios have this flash as the only thing in the corner of their eyes!
Utopia means non-place, dystopia, non-place. One dares to describe real dystopian conditions as such. However, real non-places are not self-exclusive from the start. Maybe they exist without being generally found, or maybe they are possible in principle!
Perhaps utopia and the way of thinking about it contain the friction surfaces for the fulguration of the desired species, while being trapped in dystopias triggers the feared species.
This is something completely different than the esoteric formula “Think positive”. Thinking applies to everything.
Also about the limits of thinking, its origins such as, for example, according to Rupert Riedl - Lorenz's circle of evolutionary epistemology!
We've made it so far that we can even look behind the mirror!
Stopping to look, to think, to feel, to think in your fingertips, to think in your stomach, doesn't apply when looking into the endless horizon!
This continues to raise the question of whether China and Russia really want to fend off the Western Global Cabal or are they just pretending? As long as you don't come to room 102 at the Ministry of Truth to ask questions (that's from "1984"), I'll do it again. But I am very grateful for all the counter-evidence that proves that they are serious - almost the only hope that one could have in Western Europe.
War, war, war... how degenerated humanity must be when nothing else is going on in our heads other than the lust for power or who I can destroy and who I accuse of wanting to destroy me so that I can "fight back"...

These are the two species that kill each other as a pastime - otherwise it's about hunting other species out of hunger. The article describes war as a means of control. However, I am still missing the key term “fear”! The constant wars of all kinds are intended to create fear in order to wear people down! Because constant fear prevents normal thinking! The normal process of thinking is simply switched off and a kind of emergency system keeps the person alive. But rational thinking is switched off and that's exactly what you need the Trojan horse for, namely fear! This insight into psychology is important to understand why so many people fall victim to this trick and are unable or unable to defend themselves! The psychologists at the think tanks have discovered that people who are constantly afraid can be easily manipulated! And the power elites apply this psychology to all citizens of Western countries! The mainstream media is, so to speak, the injection for the brain!
Prof. Rainer Mausfeld once said in one of his lectures about 8 years ago that the power elites know more about us than we know about ourselves! And that means our thinking! Whoever controls the minds of the masses has power over the world! These basic ideas can also be found again and again in the strategy papers of various foundations (Rockefeller) or the WEF. However, these ideas are well over 100 years old. Only with the help of today's digitalization and mass media can fear be planted in everyone's heads!
